The Bend & Blossom Method

As a life-long student of yoga and a teacher of 9 years with nearly 1,000 hours of training, I have developed the Bend & Blossom Method. As a young girl, I came to my mat with intention of freedom and playfulness. As a college student, I found solace on my mat. There were answers to my dating issues, my career challenges, and a great sense of community. As I became a mother, yoga was what I need more than anything in my life. I am beyond grateful for my parents introducing me to yoga at such a young age and for my husband who supports my practice and understands that it is yoga and that undying support that calls me to be a better mother and wife.

Based on the principles of yoga philosophy, and the needs as a woman, I have created these six steps based on connection, thinking, and feeling in the spirit of mind body.

Find Playfulness in Your Yoga

Prenatal Yoga

Inside you is an innate wisdom that intuitively understands the very natural process of birth. We were born with this wisdom but somewhere in life, probably in adolescence, we lost the nature of our bodies. This prenatal yoga class helps you reconnect with this wisdom, guiding you through a class specifically designed for the journey of pregnancy. You will learn to tune into your body and connect with your pregnancy. After this class, you will understand your body so much more.

Linking yoga postures with the breath will lead you to new discoveries, bringing awareness to the mind, body and spirit, and also the spirit of your baby. The class, conducted in a calm, peaceful environment will help strengthen the uterus and pelvic muscles, improve circulation, aid in digestion, exercise the spine and increase overall comfort.

Yoga can also alleviate many of the discomforts of pregnancy such as nausea, constipation, varicose veins, swelling, back pain and sciatica. A safe, open community allows you to freely discuss any issues, from discomforts and concerns, to the wonderful new changes your body and baby are experiencing. Pregnancy is a time to change your habits as you learn a new practice for your yoga.

We wanted to take a moment to thank you! It is people like you that make the world a better place to live in for all of us.

~Jessica and Anthony, May 2012

Thank you to the Dream Team at Bend & Blossom!! I just wanted to send along an update from my doctor appointment this morning. The ultrasound confirmed that baby is HEAD DOWN and looking great! I felt him change positions the day after my yoga class with Nicole last weekend, so all of those positive thoughts helped. He's stayed in good position all week so now we just wait and see what he decides to do. He's about 6 and a half pounds and just needs to stay put and fatten up. I just wanted to thank you all for being such a strong source of support and positivity. We are just so thankful for each day that gets us closer to meeting this healthy little guy. I am SO happy (and SO relieved) to share our news...Cameron Michael arrived 12/15/16 at 1:06 am! He is 7lb 9oz and 20 inches of perfection. All is well and we are heading home later today. I can't thank you all enough for making this a positive experience for us both! We are over the moon!!!
