HypnoBirthing

HypnoBirthing® for a Calm & Gentle Birth

Imagine a birth that is memorable and joyous? You can have a better birth, no matter how you birth. The philosophy behind HypnoBirthing and that I bring to the forefront of every class is that women have an innate ability to birth babies. In our current culture, we have gotten away from trusting our bodies and trusting our intuition. In this course, you will learn the true meaning of preparing the mind and the body for birth and for motherhood.

How soon should I start classes?

The most ideal time to start HypnoBirthing® Classes is around week 28, perhaps a little before or a little later. HypnoBirthing is a technique, just as much as it is a philosophy. Therefore, you will want to give yourself time to practice the techniques, apply the philosophy, and to really immerse yourself in the community of Bend & Blossom.

Pregnancy, labor, birthing and tools for the rest of your life.

It’s never too soon or too late to start this course.

If you are near your birthing time, we can arrange private sessions.

What's different about HypnoBirthing®?

Unlike other childbirth methods that teach Mom how to cope with and manage pain, HypnoBirthing® is based on the premise that childbirth does not need to be painful if she is properly prepared and relaxed. When women let go of the fear-tension-pain syndrome it allows them to release endorphins and oxytocin, the feel good hormones. Moms are able to change their expectations of long, painful labor and look forward to a more comfortable birthing. Rather than exhausting, shallow breathing and the distraction techniques of typical prepared childbirth programs, HypnoBirthing® parents learn deep breathing and total relaxation, enabling the laboring Mom to work in harmony with her body and baby. This allows her to achieve a shorter and more comfortable labor.

Total connection of Mind Body preparation for birth.

Evidence based information.

A better birth, no matter how you birth.

Excellent choice for home and hospital births.

Will I be unconscious or will I remember my birth experience?

Despite misconceptions, you are definitely conscious during self-hypnosis. The HypnoBirthing Mom is deeply relaxed and is an active participant in the labor process. She is totally aware and may return to a conversant state or choose to become mobile whenever she desires. HypnoBirthing Moms often find they experience time distortion, are able to rest, and focus on birthing and her new baby.

You are in complete control of your body.

You will find yourself better prepared to remain calm and in control.

Many report they needed less medication following the birth, and were able to return to normal functioning in a shorter amount of time.

HypnoBirthing® classes gives you relaxation skills that will be useful to you, your partner and your baby, regardless of the circumstances.

Happy Customers

We wanted to take a moment to thank you! It is people like you that make the world a better place to live in for all of us.

~Jessica and Anthony, May 2012

Thank you to the Dream Team at Bend & Blossom!! I just wanted to send along an update from my doctor appointment this morning. The ultrasound confirmed that baby is HEAD DOWN and looking great! I felt him change positions the day after my yoga class with Nicole last weekend, so all of those positive thoughts helped. He's stayed in good position all week so now we just wait and see what he decides to do. He's about 6 and a half pounds and just needs to stay put and fatten up. I just wanted to thank you all for being such a strong source of support and positivity. We are just so thankful for each day that gets us closer to meeting this healthy little guy. I am SO happy (and SO relieved) to share our news...Cameron Michael arrived 12/15/16 at 1:06 am! He is 7lb 9oz and 20 inches of perfection. All is well and we are heading home later today. I can't thank you all enough for making this a positive experience for us both! We are over the moon!!!
